Craftsman Fireplace Brown Tile Surround
This tile remind me a lot of a classic Grueby tile with the rustic, white clay underside and the liberal application of glazing that spills over the side. That said, they are unmarked. These tiles came from an 1890s home in Scranton that was being razed to make way for a new development.
As you can see, the tile features a stunning brown glaze with texture from the white clay making them mesmerizing. I call these my Textured Molasses set. They are large tiles, measuring nearly one inch thick each.
This set measures 39.5" wide by 38 " tall as currently laid out. I also have a few extra if needed for your design. Because they are 120+ years old, there will be some crazing, pits, and flea bites -- especially given the rustic nature of these tiles.
These tiles will be shipped via UPS Ground with standard insurance and tracking for $48, regardless of zip code. All items sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied.
