Green and White Victorian Fireplace Tile Surround
Full set of American Encaustic Tile Company (A.E. Tile Company, or AET Co.) fireplace tiles from approximately 1910.
As measured currently, the outside of the set is 36” Wide by 34.5" Tall. The inner measurements are 24" Wide by 29" Tall.
I was able to rescue these from a property in southeastern Illinois before it was sadly torn down. Very thankfully the owner allowed me to save these beautiful tiles before the wrecking ball came for them.
The color on them is stunning. As you can see from the picture, the muddled coloring incorporates white and various shades of green in certain places. Each tile is unique! When the sun hits them they’re so beautiful to look at!
Because these tiles are more than 110 years old, they’ll have some missing glazing or leftover mortar, chips, pits, flea bites, soot, paint, etc. I have other full tiles sets and individual tiles for sale, so check them out!
