This gorgeous set of historic tiles from circa 1890 started their lives in Brussels, Belgium and were made by notable ceramics firm Helman Ceramique. Celestin Joseph Helman was praised across Europe for innovative, handmade designs. This stunning set features 16 tiles in excellent condition for their age, with a stylized Georgian Rose created by Glasgow School of Art Founder Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife, Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh. The set is completed by deep brown end tiles that ground the piece. Each tile measures 6"x 6". As laid out, the entire set measures 36" wide by 36" tall.
Because they are 130+ years old, there will be minor crazing, pits, and flea bites, but they are in remarkable condition for their age.
