1920s Arts & Crafts Fireplace Surround
This is a stunning, extremely rare full set of period Arts & Crafts fireplace tiles that came from the lifelong collection of a tile collector who traveled the world saving these beautiful pieces of art. There is no maker mark on them, but the alligator leather texture on the tile reminds me of Rookwood, Wheatley, Kenilworth, or even Grueby.
This set also includes mantel corbels -- very rare!
A few of the tiles have discoloration, but I believe this adds to the history.
The outside measurements of the surround are: 41" tall and 46.5" wide. The tallest part of the top of the surround is 15" and the shortest 13".
The inside measurements are 30" tall at the center point, 26.25" tall at the corners, and 24" wide.
Finding a full set in this beautiful Arts & Crafts style is extremely difficult, making this a once-in-a-lifetime set. Please reach out with any questions.
It would be easiest if these tiles were picked up in Philadelphia given their size and weight. If you require shipping, please reach out with your zip code and I can calculate costs.
I have many other tile sets for sale, so please look around!
